Contributing to Peter’s Surprise Birthday Book

Hello lovely human,

As you should already know, we are celebrating our amazing Peter turning 50 in May. We’re marking the occasion with a trip to Athens — but in addition to that, I’m pulling together something very special that I’d love your help with.

We are creating a surprise coffee-table book for Peter: a collection of words and pictures from the people who know him, love him, and have shared moments of life with him over the years. The aim is simple, really — to show him just how deeply he’s loved and valued, and to mark this moment with something he can return to again and again in the years ahead.

Not everyone who matters to Peter will be able to be with us in Athens, and even for those who are, this feels like a chance to pause and reflect in a way we don’t often make time for. A chance to say: this is why you matter to me.

If you’re up for it, I’d love you to contribute a short piece — anything from a couple of paragraphs up to around 400 words, whatever feels right to you. You might write about:

  • how you first met Peter
  • a shared memory or experience that still makes you smile
  • what you admire most about him
  • why his friendship has meant so much to you
  • or simply what comes to mind when you think of him

Photos (old or new) that you are happy to contribute – as high quality as possible please – would be really appreciated.

There’s no pressure to be poetic or profound — honest, personal, and you is what I’m hoping for. This isn’t about perfection; it’s about love, history, and the small moments that add up to a life well shared.

The deadline for contributions is Feb 28th – so you have until the end of the month.

Please share your contributions by creating a folder in this Google Drive location – with your name as the folder name. Then simply drop your copy and all your pictures into your folder.
